Biology A Level - Subject Code: AS/A 1010

The course is intended to develop the student’s knowledge and understanding of biological principles and concepts, whilst equipping the individual with critical skills and processing abilities. 

The nature of the subject demands that the student demonstrate competence in elements of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English language.

Physiology and Ecology.
Transport and exchange mechanisms, plant
structure, transport, photosynthesis, circulatory
systems, respiratory systems, digestive systems,
ecological energetics and populations

Reproduction, Genetics and Taxonomic
Diversity.
Meiosis, reproductive strategies, plant tissue culture, AI, IVF and embryo transfer, genes and inheritance, mechanisms of change, taxonomy and five kingdom classification
