Percentage Weighting

Three assessment units
Internally assessed – externally moderated

60% (20% per unit)

Coursework consists of three assessment units – one compulsory scripted performance and five other options:

  1. Devised Performance;
  2. Improvisation;
  3. Dance Drama;
  4. Mime;
  5. Practical Exploration of the set text.

No unit can be offered twice.  For each internally assessed unit, candidates will prepare a performance and perform it to an audience.  The performance should last between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the group.  The maximum number allowed in a group is nine.  All drama students keep a notebook in which they evaluate and appraise all their work during the two-year course.
