The Future Tense

In English, it is often called the 'Shall / Will tense'.

To talk about the IMMEDIATE future, use aller plus an infinitive

Examples:

Je vais partir tôt le matin- I am going to leave early in the morning

Nous allons continuer au collége- We are going to continue to college

It is used to describe a less defininite, more remote future.

The future tense of regular verbs is formed by taking the infinitive of the verb and adding the endings from the verb AVOIR:

ai
as
a
ons
ez
ont

For 'RE' verbs, the final 'e' is dropped before the endings are added!

Examples:

Manger- Je mangerai- I will eat

Choisir- Tu choisiras- You will choose

Vendre- Ils vendront- They will sell
