This is a very popular subject choice at
A Level with an average group of 18 students per year.
As the subject teachers are A Level examiners we follow
the CCEA syllabus under the following options:
Module 1 - The Gospel of St. Luke
Module 5 - The History of the Celtic Church in Ireland 400
- 700 AD.
Internal Assignment – externally assessed. Topics
vary year to year. 1500 words.
Each module is assessed by a 1 hour 20 minute
paper , in January and June of
Year 13.
Module 1: The Theology of the Gospel of Luke
Module 2: The Celtic Church and its missionary outreach in the 5th, 6th and 7th centuries.
Module 9: Synoptic Links . This covers the links between both modules under specific headings. 2008 heading is Faith or Sin/Alienation.
