The Irish Department at St. Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel, have once again displayed the central role it plays in the promotion and preservation of Irish language in the Mourne area. Over 40 Year 11 students were presented with a Silver Fáinne at the recent Junior-Prize giving ceremony at St. Louis.

St. Louis would like to thank Conradh na Gaeilge Boirche Íochtar for sponsoring the fáinní. Their support to the Irish Department at the school is always, greatly appreciated. Pictured are a few of those Year 11 students who received their Silver Fáinne recently: left to right, Catherine Campbell, Sam McDonald and Gráinne Rooney. Also in the photograph is Ruairí Donnan from Conradh na Gaeilge Boirche Íochtar and Irish Department teachers Mrs Ciara Rodgers and Miss Kelly Smith.
