| Technology and Design in St. Louis provides
pupils with opportunities to design and manufacture
products and systems in response to real needs. Pupils
engage in a range of creative and practical activities
designed to challenge, develop and extend pupils’
knowledge and skills. |

| The department has excellent facilities
which include a multi-material manufacturing room, a
systems room with excellent provision for electronics,
pneumatics and computer control and a planning and design
room. |

| The Technology and Design Department has
strong links with local primary schools and the wider
community. Since 1996 an annual ‘Technology Challenge
has been organised for local Primary Schools and visits
have been made to local industries. |
