A Message from the Principal
Welcome to St Louis Grammar School.
At the heart of St Louis is a simple yet profound belief: that every child is a unique gift, and our greatest responsibility is to ensure they feel known, valued, and supported. Guided by our mottos, Ut Sint Unum and Dieu le Veult, we strive to create a community where we are truly "one"—a family where every student finds a sense of belonging and a clear path to their own bright future.

Kevin Martin
Principal
While we are immensely proud of our pupils’ exceptional academic achievements and their success in external examinations, we believe that such excellence is only possible when a child feels happy and secure. Our focus remains steadfastly on the Development of the Learner. We are committed to a high standard of education in every sense, nurturing the physical, moral, and spiritual well-being of our young people.

In the spirit of Ut Sint Unum, our pastoral care is the foundation of school life. We prioritise self-esteem, mutual respect, and the growth of kind, lasting relationships. Whether a student is gifted and talented or requires additional educational support, our varied curriculum is designed to ensure that no child is left behind.

St Louis is a "learning school" where the experience is meant to be relevant, empowering, and—above all—enjoyable. Under the guidance of our dedicated staff, our students flourish in a disciplined yet joyful environment, encouraged always to reach their full potential as they follow the path that Dieu le Veult.
Looking to the Future
We are very excited about the tremendous progress being made on our new school building. We are pleased to confirm that Hamilton Architects submitted a Planning Application for the new school to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in September 2025. Design development continues at a pace as we prepare to provide world-class facilities for our community.

We remain committed to working in partnership with our parents. We value your support and recognise the vital role you play in the education and development of your children. Through school Masses, sporting events, music, and fundraising, we ensure that parents are active participants in our school community and contributors to our policy reviews.

St Louis is a community where the uniqueness of each individual is recognised. Here, students are prepared to face the world as confident, articulate, and mature young adults, equipped with the skills and attributes required to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
